Freeview Signal Interference

The Government has set up anorganisation specifically to deal with this - At800 are funded by the UK mobile operators who are launching 4G mobile services: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Each operator contributes to enable At800 to provide corrective support to households whose Freeview services could be affected by the rollout of 4G. There is a lot of useful information available on the website including an online diagnostic tool to help determine if the distruption is being caused by 4G, but you can also contact At800 directly on 0808 13 13 800.

If At800 believe interference is being caused by the mobile signals, they will arrange for an engineer to visit individual households free of charge.  Alternatively, they can send out a filter along with instructions for people to fit themselves, with support provided either online or over the phone.  If an engineer comes out, they will test whether 4G is the cause of the interference and, if so, fit the filter which block the 4G signal.
